Last night I was doing my usual browsing, looking undercover, and seeing any information I can find 360 related. Well, I stumbled on an achievement page, with no achievements, and for Viva Pinata...

My guess from this point on is as good as anyone elses. Does Rare have something planned with Viva Pinata to unlock more achievements, and better yet, why would it get a seperate page unlike Oblivion and Marvel...

Gamespot has again announced another Microsoft product [or update], before quickly pulling it down. However GamingTalkHQ was able to grab the information...

According to Gamespot, Microsoft is expected to announce an Xbox 360 Mini-Keyboard sometime in the near future.

"New attachment snaps onto system's standard pad for quick and easy instant message typing.To ease the task of typing in messages without the aid of a full-sized keyboard, Microsoft today announced a new text input device for the Xbox 360 controller. The attachment snaps onto the bottom of the controller through the headset jack and features a QWERTY-style key layout with 47 keys.

The keyboard attachment has not been priced or even named yet, but it is expected to see release this summer.

This definitely seems to be true as with the upcoming spring dashboard update and, Live Anywhere the texting is quite difficult with the on-screen keyboard

The video features many of the highlights of the update, some of which are the following:
- Releases May 7th.
- Add up to 600 Windows Live Messenger contacts to your Friends List.
- Text chat with up to 6 Live Messenger contacts at once during games or movies.
- The Marketplace will be getting its own Dashboard Blade.
- The Marketplace will be skinned independently of the Dashboard, for special events.
- The Marketplace will be getting a new, easier-to-navigate remake.
- Achievement Pop-ups will now display how many points and which Achievement you have gained.
- Low-power downloading (fans off) and auto-off after finishing queued downloads.
- View partially downloaded video files.

A new day, a new segment. Today's segment covers Bioshock. The game is being developed by Irrational Games.

It looks like Catan is getting the "Worms" treatment, by being pushed to later dates repeatedly. Many were expecting a March release, but with April now upon us, and still no Catan we have to wonder when it will be launching...

After browsing some different websites and forums, I found a comment left on XBLArcade by Etirmi that led me to a Catan thread on xbox.com.

The post says,

"Thanks for your interest in our upcoming release, Catan for Xbox Live Arcade!  We'll be updating the Catan site on Monday to reflect the new release timeframe.  Because of scheduling with other Xbox Live Arcade titles, we're now targetting a release of Catan in May of this year."

So, it looks like we will wait longer for this board game. Meanwhile, check out the achievements and the game website.

I was invited to the Trillian Astra Beta (well, actually an Alpha release), and it is the best version of the product I have ever used. For those unaware, Trillian runs AIM, Yahoo, MSN, MySpace, and a variety of other messengers all on 1, easy to use program and buddy list. Since I run about 9 email accounts, it helps keep everything organized.

"The next title update for Gears of War is currently going through the certification process. We'll have more detail about the update next week but I can tell you that in addition to fixing a whole bunch of glitches, and providing 720p for VGA users running at 1280x1024, it will contain a brand new multiplayer gametype called Annex.

Some folks who got to play it a few weeks ago said they think it is our best multiplayer gametype yet but I'll leave it for you fans to decide what you think for yourself when it shows up soon on Xbox Live. More details next week."

BTW, this will be a free update...

I am hoping that they change the achievement requirements, to eliminate the "ranked" requirement.
